China Update: Dam Now Safe

News1 KAUZ

In China, the government says a dam that developed 'extremely dangerous' cracks is now safe.
The cracks formed when a 7.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the Sichuan Province. Thousands of army troops today made repairs to the dam to prevent widespread flooding.
The earthquake killed nearly 15,000 people,  but the number is expected to keep rising as 26,000 people are still buried in rubble and another 14,000 are missing.
