 Atmos Energy customers will soon see higher bills.

City councilors approved a one percent rise, but it's not going toward the company. Instead, the city of Wichita Falls will profit from the increase. Officials say residents will see an increase of $0.50 to $0.60 on their monthly energy bills.

That will equal about $275,000 in revenue for the Falls.
