Chip got his first break forecasting the weather at WXVT in the Mississippi Delta.    While in Mississippi, he made forecasts during the record breaking hurricane season of 2005 and was on the air showing the rotation in the clouds as a tornado touched down during Hurricane Rita. On his next career stop, Chip continued his pursuit of hurricanes to forecast the weather in Charleston, South Carolina.  Now, he is ready for the challenges of staying ahead of the sometimes wild Texoma weather! Chip was born in Lynchburg, Virginia and got a Bachelor's degree in Earth and Atmospheric Science at Georgia Tech.  After graduation, he went on to Florida State University and received his Master's Degree in Meteorology, specializing in hurricanes making landfall.
