Being a military brat, Micaela Lechuga has moved all over the world. She was born in Madrid, Spain but calls Wichita Falls home. She joined the NewsChannel 6 team in January of 2006. She got a taste of producing as the associate producer of the morning show. Although she "loved" getting up that early, her passion has always been reporting.  

Micaela graduated from Midwestern State University in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Broadcast Journalism. While in college, Micaela served as Secretary/Treasurer of MSU's Media Club and also co-anchored and reported for MSU TV2's "Campus Watch." She even won awards at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association. Micaela also got a taste of print writing when she wrote for the campus newspaper, "The Wichitan."

 Outside of work, Micaela volunteers her time as a P.I.E. (Partners in Education) mentor. 

For fun, Micaela enjoys spending time with her family, spinning class at 5:45 a.m., and watching a good movie. She is also the biggest Robbie Williams fan.  Micaela loves meeting new people, so if you see her out and about--be sure to say hello.
