A Wichita Falls man is fearful there could be more oil leaks developing from a derrick at lake arrowhead. We first reported on the leak several weeks ago.

And dan has more in this you ask, we investigate report. Ray james was the man who originally reported the oil leak at lake arrowhead... Back on august 11th. He's a fisherman and is out on lake arrowhead regularly. That's why he's watching the repair progress.

"Another one has developed since then. So we have a corrosion factor. Not only in the feed line, but what might be connected to it which would be the well head area," said James.

James says he's seen a lot of activity at the lake and snapped this photo. It shows what appears to be a frothy oily foam on top of the waters. Those waters around the derrick surrounded by oil soaking booms.

"So I think we need to have an investigation down there and really check it out. The Railroad Commission is out there and that would be a start talking to them about what they determined," said James.

James as well as others are fearful more leaks could be developing and wants to know the status of the repairs.

Walter Gwyn with the Texas Railroad Commission says work has been going on at the oil derrick in question this week and last. There was an estimated 120 gallons of oil taken out of a feed line at the derrick last week. The line itself has a capacity of about 280 gallons. But Gwyn is confident the repairs made are good. In fact, the booms used to contain the initial spill are gone today. Gwyn says the Railroad Commission will monitor the situation until it is confident no more oil is leaking.
