If you own a Ford product, you need to hear the next story. Ford Motor Company has recalled millions of vehicles, but consumers aren't heeding their warnings.

The government is warning owners of about 4.6 million recalled Ford vehicles to get those cars in to take care of recalls.

That's because faulty cruise control switch systems have been linked to engine fires. Originally about 9.6 million Fords were recalled and about five million of those have been fixed.

So far there have been about 60 complaints of engine fires in Ford, Lincoln/Mercury SUVs, pick up trucks, vans and passanger cars. Those fires have occurred since August of 2007. A Ford spokesman says they support the action to eliminate the risk of fire.

If you've got a Ford and you want to find out if your car is under the recall... log onto www.kauz.com and go to the links button at the top of the page. That will take you to Ford's website. You'll need your vehicle identification number as well. Once you enter your VIN number, you will find out instantly.

Get it done, it's for your safety.

If you've got a question, give us a call at 687-U-ASK. That number again, 687-8275.
