To me his party affiliation was probably what got him elected. To change parties after he is in the position speaks of how dishonest politicians are. If he was put in office to represent certain values then if he can't do that now leave office.

This is surely a joke. Neither one of these guys has been elected to any political position. For them to pass judgment on someone who changes party while in office, think about our own elected DA and Judges in Wichita County who changed parties while in office? What do they think about them?
