Editorial: Say Thanks To Our Public Servants

News1@kauz.com

Public servants are a big part of our daily lives. This week, KAUZ General Manager Mike DeLier, wants us all to pause and say thank you to all public servants for the jobs they do.

Last Friday we had the honor and the pleasure of hosting a good many public servants in our area at our KAUZ Studios.

Policemen, firemen, highway patrol, sheriff's deputies, elected officials, non-elected, public servants all. What was most striking of all was the dedication of these good people, to their communities and to us, the community.

We would like to propose something a bit unique - and that is for the next week, when we encounter these good people, let's say thanks -- thanks for the dedication, the sacrifice, the long hours and in many cases, and too often… for the selfless ways many put their lives on the line every day.

A thank you, a wave - honk your horn as a gesture of your appreciation.

Maybe if we do it enough, it will become a habit.
